See South America – come back alive

adventure travelOver 55 and looking for a Five Star trekking travel adventure – why not try South America? No, we’re not talking about Alabama and Georgia, though those two southern states can be a particular adventure in themselves. We’re talking about the real South America. The one that contains countries with names like Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Patagonia.

Why go there?

At The Jetsetter Show, we say “Why not?” You haven’t seen it all yet. Why quit until you do? World Expeditions offers an upscale 23 day trip through South America at the surprisingly affordable rate of under $4,000 per person. “Holy mackerel!” you exclaim. “How can they do that without putting us in tents?”

Ummm, actually you WILL be in a tent part of the time. After all, this is adventure travel, but don’t forget this is classy adventure travel too. Camping is only part of the experience. You’ll also be staying in hotels (including the world famous Copacabana), resorts, and lodges. In between, expect the best slam bang trip around the continent available – in comfort and safety – as long as you don’t mind walking a bit. That’s why they call it a trek. You know, place one foot in front of the other.

This South American odyssey includes time in Buenos Aires, Lima, Puerto Maldonado, La Paz, as well as riding the Orient Express train to Puno and Lake Titicaca, and walking the Sacred Valley and Inca trails. There’s more but why would we ruin all the fun of discovery?
